EMPREZA DIAK is a Timorese organisation that works to end poverty in Timor-Leste. We economically empower people creating new livelihood opportunities, providing innovative training and starting small businesses to build better futures. Since 2011 we reached 5,000 women and men in 10 municipalities across the country and we want to impact at least 2,000 more lives every year!

Who we are

At Empreza Diak we believe that eradicating poverty is possible in our lifetime. We believe in the power of innovation to create opportunities that empower poor families. We believe empowered lives mean brighter futures.

What makes us run

Working together, commitment, quality and respect – These are our core values. This is what fuels our work.

Working together

We are a team and all projects serve one purpose: empowering lives! So we support to each other, work together, share our strengths and help to overcome challenges and difficulties.

We work hard and push ourselves every day. We work from our heart because our partners, the communities, count on us. Each of us takes responsibility for the success of our mission.

We believe the communities of Timor-Leste deserve the best trainings, the best mentoring, the best support. So we improve internally, change, adapt, learn more and innovate to get the best results.

We believe in the power of listening and respecting each other. We thrive on our different ages, languages, and cultures. That makes our work in the communities richer and more effective.
