EMPREZA DIAK is a Timorese organisation that works to end poverty in Timor-Leste. We economically empower people creating new livelihood opportunities, providing innovative training and starting small businesses to build better futures. Since 2011 we reached 5,000 women and men in 10 municipalities across the country and we want to impact at least 2,000 more lives every year!

Empowering women for better futures

Training, mentoring and access to innovative livelihoods’
are turning silent women into inspiring stories of resilience and achievement!

We listen to their dreams and
help them build better futures!

Women in Timor-Leste are strong, resilient, brave. They fought for the country’s independence and keep fighting daily to rebuild this young nation. Still they suffer discrimination in health, education, employment, and access to justice. They are four times more likely than men to be unemployed and therefore often economically dependent on others.

Check how our award winning and groundbreaking women economic empowerment program “Futuru Diak” revolutionized the way women see themselves and their role in their communities.
